I’ve been calling indie bookstores for the last week. If they carry children’s books I politely ask them if they’d like to have a copy of one of the top new fantasy books, the first Diego novel. So far I’ve sent copies to Minnesota, Texas, Missouri, Washington, Oregon, Iowa, Indiana, and around California.
I read an article about promoting the best new fantasy novels, specifically The Hunger Games, and one of the key facets of making those adventure books a hit was sending them to bookstores. If those folks like them, they’ll spread the word.
Hope they like Diego and Magnifico!
I’m getting ready to start writing the third fantasy fiction novel in Diego’s story. I have an idea about what the plot will be, but how about some ideas? My readers are my reason for living, so I’ll give you a chance to tell me where you want Diego, Magnifico, and his fantasy dragons to go next.
They’ve saved the Spirits of the Sun. They defeated Vipero and the Dragons of the Dark Rift to assure the appearance of the fifth sun. What should happen next?
Any ideas? Let’s make this the greatest new series of books to come along this decade!
Well, I moved over the holidays and was without the internet for a few weeks. Amazing how dependent we are on this technology stuff 🙂
I’ll be going to see one of my favorite people in April – Judy – who now works at La Paloma Elementary in Fallbrook. I always have a great time in her libraries. She really loves her students and puts on a great show for them.
I’ll keep you posted about future events. I’m going to start on Diego’s next book soon!
