Come to the Latino Book and Family Festival this Saturday! At 3:30 I’ll be moderating a YA books panel with two other great authors, David Bueno-Hill and Yolanda Espinoza. I’ve done panels at many different fantasy fiction venues, it’s a great way to meet fans and get different perspectives about how to write fantasy.

Meet us and other great Hispanic books panelists at the festival this Saturday. It’s free, and I think parking is free, too!

WOW!

Did I have a great time at La Paloma Elementary School! I gave three presentations about my fantasy fiction books, one each for the higher grade classes. The AWESOME Librarian really got the students pumped up about my visit, she even organized a fantasy dragon coloring contest. About 40 to 50 students entered and did some incredible coloring jobs!

I sold a million YA books and Hispanic books and made so many new fans. That librarian is one of the top three in all of my school visits across the country.

Thanks La Paloma, for letting me introduce the best new fantasy novels to a new bunch of fans!

Come see Diego and Conor’s books this weekend at the Vista and La Jolla Farmer’s Markets this weekend!

I’ll be there with a booth or a table displaying Diego’s and Conor’s fantasy fiction novels, along with the new ultra-cool wooden medallions. They’re laser cut and they are awesome. You can use them for anything, and they’re only a buck apiece.

Hope to see you there this weekend – come read the best new fantasy novels around!

Diego and Conor were a big hit at the 2013 Fallbrook Avocado Festival this year. It was a big expense for me, but it paid off, and now my two heroes have a lot more fans. It’s great to see that a community like that can embrace fantasy fiction novels so warmly. These are great YA books and Hispanic books, with Conor Jameson and Diego Ramirez as the main characters.

Thanks Fallbrook – I’ll be back next year with the best new fantasy novels around!

ImageCome to the Fallbrook Avocado Festival this Sunday, April 21! It’s a huge festival with lots of great food, crafts, and much more. It will run from 9:00 to 5:00, and it gets packed quickly.

I’ll be there with a table displaying Diego’s and Conor’s fantasy fiction books, along with the new ultra-cool fantasy dragon wooden medallions. They’re laser cut and they are awesome. You can use them for anything, and they’re only a buck apiece.

This is my first time at the Avocado Festival. I hope to meet a ton of kids and their parents. I visited a school in Fallbrook last Friday with Diego and Conor, so their should be lots of students hanging around the booth. I hope I sell a ton of YA books!

The Chicago Latino Book and Family Festival was AWESOME! I met Edward James Olmos, got a picture with him, and sold a bunch of Diego fantasy dragon books to some new fans in the Midwest.

This was a big show! Lots of Spanish speaking fans, too. I’ll have to do two things; learn to speak Spanish fluently, and offer Diego’s first fantasy fiction novels in Spanish.

It was a great time, though, and I’ll be looking forward to more LBFF festivals.

Onward!

By 9:30 tomorrow morning I’ll be up in the air and on my way to Chicago. I’m heading to the Latino Book and Family Festival this Saturday and Sunday. This is the biggest LBFF in the country, and I’ve shipped 200 Diego’s Fantasy Dragon books back there. I’ll have two whole days to spread the word in the Midwest about the best fantasy fiction series there is, and I plan to take full advantage.

I’ve contacted a bunch of schools so hopefully the librarians will have told the kids and teachers about the coolest Hispanic books around.

You’ll find out how it went in the May newsletter. Wish me luck! Diego’s Dragon rules!
